President Trump fell asleep at the 9/11 memorial ceremony.
The president dozed off at multiple points during the event Friday, slumped over in his chair with his eyes closed and his head hanging down while everyone else onstage—Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Melania Trump, and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice—was clearly awake.
I don’t know that they’re necessarily centrists. I think they’re as hopeless as I am and, at this point, things just feel less bleak electing a genocider that pretends to like gay people or whatever vs a genocider who hates and insults everyone. (Not that I would agree, and in fact, it infuriates me even more when a politician leverages the language of equality and progress to cover war crimes.)
But hopefully they recognize that they have actual power in their local neighborhood and aren’t willing to vote ‘blue no matter who’ there.
