Too many tomatoes from the garden. So I made some tomato butter to use instead of mayo. I regret not putting more of it on. But I’ll use the leftover for some pasta dish.

No judgement intended, but sounds pretty normal for The South, frankly. Similar with lard, I’d guess.
I grew up Italian so olive oil was the default. But butter was still essential.
