I’ll never understand why anyone would swallow very hot drinks. The article is mostly about that, hot coffee or tea can still be pleasantly warm and fine. But I knew people who drink their coffee painfully hot and… why? To feel ALIVE?
Granted I also don’t understand why people smoke or drink alcohol so… eh.
When I was 8 years old, I made some tea and it was too hot so I put a cube of ice in it to cool it off enough to drink. My mom saw this and GASPED, then told me if my great grandmother had seen that she would have rolled over in her grave.
So, since then, in order not to shame my ancestors, I trained myself to drink very hot tea.
