I’ll refrain from sharing anymore publicly; won’t purchase the IT8 Reflective Target; am begging for permission to be able to continue buying crayons/paper and continue drawing.

Have you considered using hair dryer and iron (plus parchment paper) in your toolkit?
You could achieve different textures and a new way of covering the paper.

Pardon the delayed response. I looked into it some. I’m uninclined to a hair dryer or melting techniques currently. Drawing outside gives temperature variability to the wax though. Separating the pages with parchment paper may help with preservation. I haven’t been as motivated about preserving the physical pages as making a digital copy. I moreso want to get better at removing stray particles from the digital copies.

You could try the cheap and tried method of fixing graphite/charcoal/pastel chalk drawigns: a bottle of hairspray.
It is sticky so it might help with crayons also? I haven’t tried on crayons, but I don’t think it would hurt. Thos way you might get less of stray particles.

Social conditions have been too unsafe such that it doesn’t make sense to put extra effort into preserving the physical drawings. I don’t have an unforced way to obtain crayons/paper and don’t have hairspray either.
