Feel free to disagree, but there cannot be any reasonable expectation of copyright or ownership retainment of data that a person posts on the internet, especially when there has been made no such claims within the data itself - such as putting a watermark on image - or in the surrounding environment - such as claiming ownership in the image description or the likes.

On the other hand, it is more than reasonable to think that people who view your post and my comment on it will quite immediately realize that my comment was made by copying and editing the image that you initially posted. It should also be quite obvious that my comment on your post is was an attempt at making any kind of statement or claim regarding ownership or originality of the data in question, but rather an acknowledgement of the fact that I found your image engaging and entertaining.

With all that said, since you did claim ownership and protested against my use of your image, I will:

            1. add notation clarifying that you are the original creator and owner, or
            2. remove my comment.

            Please advise! 🙂
