I was reminded this week that They Might Be Giants’ debut, self-titled album was released 40 years ago (November 1986). So please enjoy this tune.

I remember seeing that video on 120 Minutes and going out the next day to find the cassette. I’ve seen TMG probably 8 times at this point.
Lucky. I have never seen them play live…not that I can remember!
They’re still around and touring. It’s a great show and they usually play smaller, more intimate venues. I saw them a couple years ago. Keep an eye out.
I got to see them at my college campus’ tiny concert hall called The Backdoor not long after this was released, when it was just the Johns. So, so great.
