People are required to get emergency treatment. That is a big part of why medical care prices are so inflated in the US. People get treated who can’t pay, so that expense gets passed on to other people with insurance. That is why it is so stupid for people to be against universal government funded healthcare. We end up paying for other people getting care either way. We might as well as do it the efficient way without middle men insurance companies taking out their cut.
