    That’s what the entire problem is though. The original game was ambitious but the scope was like 10% of what it is now. People kept shoveling money at it so they said “know what let’s add 1,000 new features and polish them later” and now it’s an unmanageable clusterfuck.

    I think it’s akin to yandev broadening the scope of yandere simulator because that game lived and died off of Youtuber hype, and Youtubers only made videos when there was a brand new shiny feature. He kept widening the scope while everything was basically in a tech demo state and only worked on the test rival.

      Yeah, which is a lack of experience. Any experienced designer or developer knows you dont keep increasing the scope like this. The lead management have zero idea what they are doing, the developers are not competent enough, so it’s a viscous cycle that will only end when the money runs out.
