That would be an option if they didn’t all suck. That was the reason I started using Revolut years ago in the first place. Fees for pretty much everything. You want to pay a bill? Here is a fee. You want send money to a different bank? Here is a fee? You want the privilege of having a credit card with absolutely no benefits. That will be 12€ per year. You want to just keep your money with us? That will be 1€ per month just for the privilege of having an account with us. Did I mention we pay an amazing 0% interest? What? High yield savings account? I am sorry, we never heard of it.
Some countries have terrible banks, other have better. Of course, having a bank in another country might bring other complications, but maybe it could work for you?
Wise is legally not a bank. I don’t think they have a savings account and probably not otger things either. I just use them for travelling.
