Clinton resigned as president based on his affairs, not his performance. Cuomo resigned as governor of New York based on his conduct with women, not based on the fact that he cost the lives of nursing home residents en masse during covid. Platner resigned as a candidate for the governor of Maine based on misconduct with a partner, not based on his unfortunate circumstances. So is the moral of the story that those who hold the honor cards are at fault for bad leadership in America or what?

CNN was originally discouraging the view that Platner should be judged simply for things like the tattoo that were being pushed by Fox (with the understanding if you asked CNN that Platner did not know of the tattoo’s meaning). Was there a plot twist that was missed, aside from the allegations by one of his partners?
