    Their decision to abruptly remove third party API access is what drove me here. I wiped all my posts shortly after they started offering that stock buy in bullshit. Definitely made the right decision after seeing them become what they are now.

      Same but the straw that broke the camel’s back for me was their decision to hide user history and modify the algorithm that made it hard to identify if post is real or astro turfed

        I spent 5 years off Reddit and everything then tried to come back like a year ago. I found that even if someone hides their history since Reddit is selling all it’s users out all you had to do was go to a search engine and type “reddit /u/theirusername” and you’d find loads of things.

        Eventually I realized instead of spending my time researching assholes so I could comment linking all their posts where they made contradicting claims to be a doctor, historian, velociraptor tamer, gay black woman, transgender Danish leprechaun, 15 years old, 40, and retired so I could point out their bullshit and win at the internet… maybe I’d be happier just going somewhere with a smaller shit pile.
