My internal clock has been utterly derailed by having finished school last week, so I didn’t even notice that it’s Friday again lol. I don’t have any soulslikes on my plate right now - sounding like a broken record at this point - but I’ve been thinking about trying to get a PS4 emulator running on my PC to give Bloodborne another go. It’s been way too long since I’ve last played it.
I’m not sure if it’s the saddest boss in a soulslike, but Romeo from Lies of P is definitely up there. The second playthrough recontextualises many boss fights and this one was just gut wrenching.
What’s your pick?

That’s so awesome - I’m glad you’re enjoying your time! Also sounds like you’ve found your footing too.
So does the game fit the bill and the description of being a soulslike or is it a misnomer? From the little time I’ve had with the game, its focus is more so on rogue-lite elements and challenging combat. But not really a soulslike. What do you think?
Yeah i could agree with that. I think soulslike and roguelite can overlap but here its not quite a soulslike. The main thing it’s lacking is that there is no real loss for death other than you lost your run so no “run back” risk trying to get your souls. I also think that it doesn’t quite reach the difficulty id expect from a soulslike, since the game seems to be a little more geared towards setting you up with gear intended for building combos off of. That just naturally brings down the game difficulty.
But, it’s still fun. Finished another boss this morning and going to be doing the 3rd tier runs now.
