Wait, Portugal and Greece?
Greece: During the cold war era US supported authoritarian regimes in Greece that overthrew their democracy. The US supported a right-wing military dictatorship. Then Nixon’s government actively backed the dictator.
Portugual: In the 70s, U.S. pressured Spain to invade Portugal when they are trying to get democracy. US also manipulated their democracy process, in name of anti communism.
