Is this expected behaviour? Is this a setting I touched?
I think it could be a neat feature to turn on or off with a button, but not as default.

    Yes, that was it. I feel a little ashamed embarrassed because I went to settings a bunch of times looking for a toggle for that, it was too specific and it wasn’t something that was happening two weeks ago, and I missed it every time.
