Turkey is lobbying to join a defence pact between Saudi Arabia and nuclear-armed Pakistan, a potential move that could create a new military bloc in the Middle East amid rising tensions in the Gulf and Iran.

Bloomberg reported on Friday that the talks between Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are at an “advanced stage and a deal is very likely”, citing people familiar with the matter.

If Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia sign a trilateral defence pact, it would link three of the region’s largest countries, each with unique advantages.

  • Oil-rich Saudi Arabia is the Arab world’s only G-20 economy and home to Mecca and Medina, the two holiest cities in Islam.
  • Pakistan is the Muslim-world’s only nuclear-armed state.
  • Turkey, which straddles Asia and Europe, boosts Nato’s second-largest army.

    How do the comrades from the countries view this? Are there any words from communist parties in the respective places?

    Purely from those three countries being capitalist, it doesnt read like the best idea but then i have zero information about reality on the ground.

    From the article it reads very complex and without further knowledge, i cant see a definite outcome for this. I bet comrades from the regions have a better understanding of this.

      Those 3 country has the most influence on the muslim world. 3 them are bootlickers of the daddy USA. If, the US can’t satisfy them, they cannot attack to Iran. So, in Turkiye we’re discussing 7/24 Iran war its ‘benefits’ for Turkiye.

      1. Kurdish national struggle can resolve for now
      2. Cheap labor (for real)

      US literally pushed financed to PKK dissolve itself. So, PKK fighters joined to SDF and US created a balance between Turkish and Kurdish people. Many Kurdish comrade said that PKK stabbed them in the back to save SDF’s own survival misson.

      Why, SDF wanna survive from who? Everyone says that from Jolani. But no from Iran. Becase, Iran had a Mediterranean sea corridor access before Assad’s fall and Russia was a gatekeeper for the both. So, SDF’s first promise to US was that they were not gonna be in the corridor for Iran the second was keep your mouth shut when we attack and make Iranian Kurdish support the US.

      Everyone on the region looking to take a bite from projected Iran war.
