Whenever, I am around kids during cold seasons, I always get sick. Around adults I am fine, but kids always make me sick. Is my immune system weak or something?

Kids are unhygienic and also are sick more often. Holidays are also stressful in addition to being during cold and flu season, so that makes your immune system weaker. It’s not like you’re somehow immune to adults’ viruses but susceptible to kids’, but lots of people do notice enough of a difference that it can seem that way.

This is pretty close, from my understanding. The way it’s explained to me, kids are often in environments that expose them to different germs than we may be around, different strains of bacteria and viruses, so while we may have developed immunity to strain a, they may be exposed to strain b. Plus all the other stuff you mentioned.

Kids are menaces to your health lol. I have some nephews running around and they are always sources of diseases picked up at daycare.

Since having kids I think I’ve been more sick in a year than 10+ years before kids and they aren’t even in daycare.

It’s probably a combination of kids immune systems are still developing so they spread stuff easily and they pick up everything since they touch and put everything they can into their mouths

My nephew picks up a disease every month at his playschool. It is really unfortunate parents can’t keep their children at home when the child is sick.
