Our party has a magazine every once in a while and for this season’s issue they had an analysis on the increasing military spending and how young people are lured into the army. One point they make is that not necessarily Russia is the main goal, but China. And I think that’s interesting and I’m glad they are daring to say it out loud.

Is this DKP? or KPD I don’t remember the name exactly but I read their bulletin and the subject is interesting. European countries especially Germany are actually struggling to get people to enlist.

I’ve started reading through some of my lefty books the past couple of days again, currently reading Immovable Object: North Korea’s 70 Years at War with American Power by A. B. Abrams, from 2020. I have two other Abrams books, but next up might be either The Jakarta Method or Killing Hope, I haven’t decided, and also a re-read of Blackshirts and Reds.

I turned 32 yesterday, and I just want to at least have a better background knowledge than I currently do on some countries, and I’m on a bit of a DPRK-binge right now, having read Gowans a couple of months back.

Police deployed water canons and tear gas on us yesterday while protesting for Palestine. The reason given was that we were not protesting on the right place. We were at City Hall instead of on the Riverside where nobody will see us.

Kamala is the most honest politician I’ve ever seen because she can’t help but reveal that she has no principles and no actual plan everytime she speaks.

There’s this neolib politician in Belgium who from time to time makes based comments by accident. He fully supported Palestine at one point and now with the new government failing to form he told the prime minister to call to Vietnam to see how they did things some time ago as he saw that as a great example of what to do.

    Please, do adopt Vietnamese mindset.

So my union might be taken over by capitalists. The member parliament didn’t vote for a plan by the supervisory board that would basically turn the union into a company where the supervisory board would appoint the board of directors instead of the member parliament. So now the supervisory board is suing the member parliament. One of the people in the supervisory board is a former politician for the socialdemocratic party who helped implement austerity policy. Proves that socialdemocracy serves to destroy the workers movement from within.

During the allied occupation of Germany, the us basically removed socialists from union leadership and put conservatives in their place, so nowdays unions just rubber stamp company policies. And remember it was polish unions that brought down their socialist republic.

Everytime a new drone pops up in Belgium, which is several times a day right now, I can’t help but play 99 Luftballons in my head

Still no photos or videos of these alleged drones? And i don’t mean just random civilian drones in civilian neighborhoods or out over random fields, because we know that regular people use drones all the time nowadays to film videos, you can see tons of drone videos made by regular people on YouTube in lots of different countries. I mean these supposed super advanced stealth drones over airports and military bases.

And if they are so worried about these civilian drones that they needed to call the military to deal with them, why did they allow them to be sold in these countries in the first place? Ban drones from civilian ownership if you are so paranoid!

No clear footage of them. They are mostly there are night and mostly around military bases or airports. Not even the military knows what to do. Apparently just shooting isn’t an option.

Local socdem party made a video in which they send a honorable membership card to Mamdani saying he could be one of them but they are also in the government who wants to cut all social security down to a minimum, among other right wing things.

They got rightfully flamed for it.

My Mom said some heinous shit to me the other day (like, yesterday from now).

My therapist agreed that it was at least pretty hurtful, very much so.

I still feel a modicum of anger.

I don’t know how else to leave the family.

Belgian government might collapse tomorrow as they can’t agree on the budget after trying to form a government for a year and a half. Turns out getting out on the streets helps.
