I have an Iphone, windows pc, and android tablet, I want to sync keys, passwords, etc.
They all seem to cost like 10$ a month minimum?
I used to use Termius, but now I just use Tailscale. I don’t need to manage (almost) any keys or passwords, nor do I need to remember any IPs.
Are you looking for an SSH client specifically? Given the price tag, you’re likely in iOS/iPadOS, in which case I suggest Shelly: https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/shelly-ssh-client/id989642999 It’s only 5 Canuckistani copecs ($5CAD) one time “tip” to the author to unlock “premium” mode which includes iCloud sync of profiles. Note that keys and passwords are not synced (that’s probably a good thing: keys don’t leave your device).
For a cross-platform option, Termius will do everything you want and more. It is a recurring subscription though. Note that it’s part of the Github student pack, so if you have a university/college email, you can sign up for that and get your pro subscription for free.
Rsync
Why specifically an SSH app? Use SSH for shells. Use bitwarden for secrets. Use rsync (across ssh) for files.
When you say sync, what are you wanting to sync?
Passwords, keys, etc? Bitwarden (maybe with vaultwarden).
Tailscale is free for personal use
How do you connect to machines with SSH within the Tailscale app? For what I see the Tailscale app doesn’t have any SSH client
Not sure what devices you are using but I just run ssh desktop or ssh laptop in the terminal, running linux. I am not using tailscale app tho, I have service setup in Nixos config and use the commands only.
Ok, got it. I didn’t understand your reply because the OP question was an SSH client that could sync SSH keys and password, not a way to connect to the machines.
Tailscale is my number one app of the year. It makes everything else I do possible.
This is what keypairs are for.
I can’t think of anything that specifically uses ssh, but Syncthing would do this, though for passwords I’m more inclined towards bitwarden.
This sounds like corpo bullshit. Apple is a shitpile and so is microsoft but you can absolutely make it work. Bitwarden is free for individuals and works great for this. Its open source and you could even self host it but you dont need to. Good luck. Consider checking linux since that corpo trash is proliferating all things fucked up atm. (Microsoft, apple and google are fascism supporters)
? idk what you’re talking about, you ever use termius/termux to ssh from your phone into a vps? I just want to sync keyprints and logins but every app has high monthly fees for something that doesn’t seem that complex.
You wanted to sync passwords and keys. I suggested bitwarden. Its foss and works well even the hosting is free which I consider awesome.
Simple solutions being unnecessary expensive on apple is a feature, not a bug.
Yes i have used termius. It is okay but iphone is just crap for poweruser/admin work, period. I now use a postmarketOS phone for that which just runs linux.
forsure, I’m just stuck in the ecosystem, no imessage is annoying
iMessage is crap as well. Its used to strengthen apples illegal monopoly. They are being sued for this.
Signal is pretty much the best for low tech users. Folks with more advanced knowledge and higher resilience expectations use matrix. Both have strong encryption and work on every device known to man.
Nah - its not crap, its much better than signal for my low tech friends. You are confusing your ideology with usability.
Yikes! We have a live one.
Apple is breaking international law with their software. I suggest you start reading about it and not accuse others of ideology without having any idea what you‘re talking about.
Edit: another bot. 130 comments, zero posts. Thats the third one in as many days after two years of silence. Zuck is running interference it seems.
Syncopoli on the f-droid store supports both ssh and rsync. That’ll cover your android for free.
