Does the LTB even inspect these properties when landlords seek to increase the rent above guidelines stating they’ve made improvements to the property or do they just essentially take their word for it.

“We put in a new boiler to improve hot water and heating”

“Ok cool, we’re going to send an inspector out to check and also interview tenants to see if these 300k dollar improvements have actually been effective”

Or am I making too much sense here.
