In four days, the EU Commission releases the Digital Omnibus, a proposal to “simplify” GDPR that would actually weaken privacy protections on many front: narrowing personal data definitions, giving AI companies blanket access to sensitive data, eliminating employee and journalist protections, and enabling remote device access without consent. In this video, we break down what’s changing, why it matters globally, and exactly what you can do to fight back.
Techlore empowers individuals with practical digital privacy knowledge, security tools, and advocacy resources to protect your data and reclaim your digital identity.

Instead of protecting us, the EU council are hellbent on fucking us over, and then under a bus.
I hope everyone remembers which individuals and which parties are pushing all these privacy destroying proposals through, and who’s backing them.
Your data ARE under attack. 🤦♂️
- I am
- You are
- He/she/it is
- We are
- You are
- They are
I’m fairly certain that “data” falls in the “it” category
Technically “data” is plural. The single is datum.
Your datum is under attack.
Ah right… You are indeed correct in the formal definition.
But even the Merriam-Webster dictionary mentions that the word “data” is more informally being used just like the work “information”.
Datum is the singular. Data is the plural.
You need a plural verb for a plural noun.
Ah right… You are indeed correct in the formal definition.
But even the Merriam-Webster dictionary mentions that the word “data” is more informally being used just like the work “information”.
Everything past that first sentence could have, and should have been omitted.
I’ve been roasted last week for being sarcastic about this.
But I’m a slow learner and IDGAF, let’s do it again.
EU commission will do its thing no matter what.
Hopefully this particular community leans more towards privacy than boot licking…
More often than not it’s against commoner’s benefits. And you can’t change that, we’re way past point of no return in Europe.
