One of the drives has an issue with bad sectors, so I want to replace it, but what do you do with removing the drive from a 4 drive raid 5 array before sending it?

IE should you wipe it first before sending? How do you do it normally? Using Qnap NAS.

Never had this issue before so not sure on normal procedures.

    I have an external Usb Dock that i connect to a PC and run a Wiper. Depending on the size it takes quite a while. Maythe there is a wipe function built into your NAS.
