5·22 hours agoI remember when the popes used to wear spandex and whip around rooftops and kill demons. They are soft now.
Why have a popemobile if you’re not going to skid it into a crime scene and throw some cross shaped scabbards at some sinning motherfuckers? It’s a waste.

112·22 hours agoHe’s already told you he’s taken mental tests and done well, like Mensa level well, like they thought he cheated but he didn’t well. What more could you possibly want and how the fuck do you think you are going to get it? A move like this doesn’t work when you don’t have the cards, and you don’t have the cards dems.
Yeah delivery is great especially when you don’t feel good. I can get otc tummy pills to door in less than 2h usually, and most scripts within 24, but sometimes need it sooner.

Technology@lemmy.world•Windows Update is a torture chamber for seldom-used PCsEnglish
12·23 hours agoTheir update server seems universally throttled. It should somehow selectively throttle, like default to a slow download but if the user is sitting right there and needs to use the damn laptop, allow a button to manually release throttling and download quickly.
I’ve had nothing but problems with win update. Since I’ve switched to the win10 alphabet version recently to get extended update support, update seems to fail and require manual download of update packages. It’s been a real pain.
Really just need to give it a try to know. At the bar would be an atypical place to do the whipping out I agree, but invite the cutest one over afterwards and see where it goes!

Coffee@lemmy.world•What's wrong with my daily espresso?
2·23 hours agoYou can buy distilled water and order a “coffee water” packet to make theoretically perfect coffee water, but it’s possible the taste you had grown acusstomed to requires water at some wacky tds / pH that just seemed to fit and might be hard to reproduce. Anyway, my money is on the water, it really can make a big difference. Good luck.

It’s true. Chatting about circumcision in a bar most often ends in showing each other your dicks.
Water may have somehow changed composition. Do you have a baseline tds reading on your “old” water when it was good? Any new refresh on the softener system recently? Often changes in the water are unexpected culprit. Can see if your city has any graphs on local water tables that might explain a correlative change too. Get a tds, kh, and gh reading on your water and play with these a bit with mixing distilled water or coffee water drops / salts to optimize by taste.
