Jim Varney was also a smoker. But he went to great lengths to try to avoid kids seeing him doing it.

Oh this is half way to my favorite pie. Although this does look fucking amazing.
Add some olives and some anchovies and I’m in heaven.
A big enough BBC will still give its internals what for.
Can confirm, have 6yo daughter obsessed with perfecting her cartwheels.
You want to see a great reaction.
Tell a hardcore punk fan your favorite punk band is Reel Big Fish.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•You've just won a competition and now a major game developer has to make whatever game you want for free. No compromises. Your vision. Period. What game do you make?
1·10 days agoSlot machines are random. What about what I said suggests random?
The idea is to have an RPG that makes you PUSH every second you’re on the battlefield. No Leroy Jenkins behavior, no grinding low xp mobs for hour after hour day after day.

15·10 days agoF2P Diablo style mmorpg with a twist. Each year starts a new season. $20 buys you a character for the year, pick your own class, skills, stats and starting gear. Punishingly difficult, permadeath, maximum playtime of 30 hrs a month, META adjustments on the fly by devs every month. Play like a risk averse little bitch? Serious XP penalty. Get overconfident and die? Thats it your season is done. Why would you play that? SERIOUS prize money on the line for the characters that make the end game.
Theres free characters and no playtime limit on those but you get a randomly generated character with slower progression and a greatly reduced prize pool for the characters that go the distance.

18·11 days agoI’m a straight, white and middle aged person and its crazy how many other people of the same demographic just assume we share their bigoted fucking views. Perfect strangers dont even feel you out before talking about whichever “them” they are bothered about. Its shockingly common.

5·13 days agoThen explain how a pudding brained narcissistic sociopath managed to get himself elected as the commander in chief of the worlds most powerful army and economy in the world while simultaniously conducting widescale graft and corruption. Even if he isnt the brains behind the operation, he didnt trip, slip on the floor and accidentally fuck up into this level of success. Its calculated.
The narrative that he is a buffoon only serves to make people underestimate what him and those behind him can accomplish and look where thats gotten everyone.
Yes, which means people will report them and the cops will turn up faster.
Actually yes, it massively increases the number of potential charges. Also way more likely to get excited police officers turning up quickly and knowing you have a gun.
In all fairness I have had a contractor come and do a quote when my wife wasnt home make a time and come back when we would both be home, talk the whole thing over with both of us and have us both sign. “Everyone needs to be in agreement, once we start work any miscommunications can be a nightmare to unravel” that being said if you cant/wont/dont communicate that well that is still shitting the bed.

Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL that in 2025, Americans spent roughly $166 billion on gambling. That’s more than the entire U.S. movie, music, book, and museum industries combined.English
9·19 days agoIts also really not as insane as it sounds because it will also include all the state lotteries.
166 billion divided by roughly 300 million Americans puts it at about $500 a year. So if you buy a $10 ticket every week you are hitting the national average.

3·19 days agoYeah but last time I went to the movies I didnt have a 1 in 100,000,000 chance of walking out a millionaire.
I have a weekly ticket in the state lottery, I dont buy it to win. I’m renting the fantasy that I wont have to work ever again each week.
“Were twins”
“You dont look like twins”
“Mom liked to party”
You’re also a Terminator so like sure you’re in an enormous shitheap but you arent on the bottom.
You get to hang out with Keanu tho…
I am a petrolhead, I love cars, but even if I won the lottery (and I mean a BIG win) I could never justify spending more than $250,000 on a single car. I believe thats the price point where you are buying a flex not a car. $250k buys you (or gets you built) an absolutely top shelf truck, sports car, 4x4 or family vehicle, any number of incredibly cool vintage cars or one absolutely mental amateur race car.
Even then, theres maybe 5 cars Id consider dropping that kind of cash for, EVEN THEN I dont think I could justify having more than 1 of the 5.

Well Ive definitely done worse.
