Way I see it, if I can end up contributing in whatever small ways to better myself, my neighbors, my country, and the world through whatever small acts I can then I will.

I do what I do for the sake of belief in myself, and those around me, if something comes out of it then all the better, if not then better fail than never have tried.

Oh yes, spider silk for example is technically doable, but any of these won’t stop you from also almost certainly from dying too at even somewhat semi close range.

For example, certain tailors specialize in sale of woven Kevlar for suits and overcoats for execs doing business in certain areas of questionable security. Those clothes are however mostly only good for 9mm spray ricochet and shrapnel. For the most part you’re going to want to have a proper flak n plate if you want to have a greater likelihood of living lol.

Well from a socio-political standpoint, propaganda just plain works.

When you take a strong mix of continual white-washing of rhetoric and policy across American radio and television, a good forty years of right-wing political maneuvering towards further local focus in messaging and turn-out, as well as a continual lack of ease for most Americans to even spend the time to get politically informed, nevermind exposed to new points of thought; you end up having a vast swath of the population that can’t even afford the time to vote, those that do have a wide margin that either aren’t able to, or are so socially entrenched they dont want to hear about non-republican major talking points, and you end up with the general basis of where we are now.

That doesn’t nearly cover the whole scene, but I’d recommend looking through some of Pew Research publications on elections to get a little better idea of the way turnout ends up.

Tldr; its complicated as hell lol.

Gets even better when you count work-hours in a full economic net over direct implementation costs.

Coming to the realization that proper use of free will really does open up so much in life is such a profound benefit.

You can just do shit.

Most folk just want direction. Sometimes all it takes is the right social club to change a lifetime of political direction.

I miss being more ignorant about the world, about politics. Life would be so much nicer.
