I have no problem with an automated book reader - so long as we can be sure the book is being read verbatim.
I loved Dr. Seuss as a kid before I could read. There came a time when my dad just borrowed an audiobook collection from the library, duped the tape, and basically told me to have fun.
Same with Jonathan Livingston Seagull.
Yes, it’s crucially important to/with read to your kids. But when it’s the same book the hundredth time, they can do with an audiobook and you can read them new stuff.
